In 2006 Kirsten came across a severe car accident. With no training or previous experience, she felt completely helpless. She describes it as "the worst feeling in the world!" This drove her to do her Basic Life Support paramedic course. She now has her Intermediate Life Support qualification.
Kirsten is a full-time maritime-survival instructor.
