Roberto has been a volunteer medic since 2000 and joined CBCM in 2006.

Roberto completed his Level 1, 2 and 3 First Aid qualifications in high school and became head of the school medics. Following that he completed his Basic Life Support and Intermediate Life Support paramedic qualifications while studying at UNISA and UCT. While working in IT he also remained actively involved as a volunteer at Metro EMS, Hout Bay Volunteer EMS, CBCM , the South African Police Force and Clifton Surf Lifesaving Club as a lifeguard and instructor.

Roberto is now completing his degree as a medical doctor in Zagreb (Croatia) with the intention of specialising in emergency medicine.
